"The minimum qualification requirement [for registration with the WA College of teachers] is four years of completed higher education programs with at least one year being a completed preservice teacher education program in early childhood, primary, middle or secondary education."  The Western Australia College of Teachers also has a classification called limited authority to teach, however this is only available to people who have completed a 3 year teacher training degree and are intending to complete a forth (post-grad) year of teacher training. These LATs are usually only employed as relief teachers.
